Praise and Worship

 Zion Apostolic Faith Mission Church (ZAFMC) is a christian faith based church, a non profit orgànisation that was founded in the year 1923 by the late man of God Archbishop Andreas Pedzisai Shoko, in Zimbabwe.Our faith is based on the principles as defined in the holy bible as inspired word of God. During the current leadership, ZAFMC is aiming at improving the service to the wider global community, while we realise the long service of the church to the Zimbabwean and regional community, there are critical service areas that need further improvement. As such, on that note, the Ministry of Praise and Worship Services(MoPWS)was created with a mandate to improve on the programing of different church services functions so that smooth flowing and orderly services are delivered to the community as introduced in different ministries to enhance services and development initiatives. The MoPWS is one of the dept that has been included to spearhead the church programs and important services. The ministry is headed by a priest and a team from ZAFMC personnel. In this regard the MoPWS has introduced clear sitting arrangements in a bid to enforce discipline within all church members and considering that ZAFMC is increasing in its membership drive internationally have several needs for the smooth and efficient discharge of the duties enshrined in the church.
The church, ZAFMC has in its inventory few musical instruments, an old PA system, less than 500 plastic chairs, yet we have qualified persons to train and lead in the Praise & Worship activities in different capacities to do the services. Considering the increase in the church's membership drive internationally, we have several needs for the smooth and efficient discharge of our duties. We would request an assistance of more than 100000 chairs to accommodate congregants at our annual conference center where we converge annually under normal circumstances. Currently the plastic ones available are now depleted and were not durable. The ministry would like to equip the existing and zealous brass band which currently has just minimal instruments to lead and perform during crusades, and various ceremonies including, funerals, wedding ceremonies, and at our ZAFMC grant parades. Now our biggest challenge is largely that of funding to purchase instruments such as brass instruments, key boards, and chairs for the better of our church sitting plans especially due to the prevailing difficult economic situations worsened by the Covid 19 global pandemic. Praise and Worship is on the lead of maintaining ZAFMC outreach programs, services and we believe that would also require some bigger Mark tents for out door shelter for our services and a lorry to ferry our instruments, tents and public address systems, and also a bus for Praise and Worship team as we embark on our routine crusades and also prayer meetings. We have also as a ministry introduced provincial choir groupings that often meet for their competitions. Currently the ministry is assisting the ZAFMC Harare Youth Wing to come out with refined church songs for recording. All these activities require adequate funding that will make the programs more viable. Our requirement is as follows: 15 trumpets,8 cornets,10 trombones,8 Euphoniums,2 bass drums,10 clarinets, a modern PA system,3 lead guitars,3 bass guitars,6Eb tubas and 8 saxophones. The MoPWS is looking at training a team of 30 bandsmen & bandswomen. We are quite sure that this team would require at least two pairs of uniforms for their presentability.
The ZAFMC wishes to showcase its activities in Zimbabwe and abroad through Online services and recordings in its global drive for the spread of the word of our lord Jesus Christ. Our vision is to achieve an Online platform for easy outreach especially also in times such as these days of global pandemics. We are trying to establish an Online and efficient Praise & Worship, complementing the online services and broadcasting on a wider ZAFMC outlook.
We are therefore appealing to those willing to support the activities and services of the ministry and the church and wider Christian community to spread the good news of the salvation of believers through the blood of our lord Jesus Christ, Let us work together in Praise and Worship of our Lord Jesus Christ.
